dc.description.abstractIn this paper we present evaluation how two different background correction methods affect results of quantitative gel image analysis com pared to using uncorrected background. Combined staining techniques were used to produce gels that have fixed protein amount but different background and total gel intensity. We determined that both of the 2DE gel image background correction methods increase the variation of the estimated protein quantity compared to using uncorrected background.eng
