Lietuvos transporto politika integruojantis į Europos transporto paslaugų rinką
Abstract
The Lithuanian transport policy is supposed to develop along the following lines: 1. The juridical principles of transport brought in line with the international low by entering international organisations, joining respective conventions, coordinating the juridical system of transportation with actual juridical principles and standards accepted in the European Community and other countries. 2. The development of multimodal transportation by using international transit corridors and by making the market of transport services more versatile and reliable. 3. Privatisation and demonopolisation of the state owned transport subjects providing transportation service. Stimulation of foreign and domestic private capital investments. 4. Active governmental support to ensure stable operation of some transport infrastructure objects that are of prime strategic importance to the economy of Lithuania. Proper investments and other moans to be envisaged and enlisted with the aim of reconstructing and modernising this sphere. 5. The integration of the Lithuanian transport network in to the European transport system by talcing advantage of the geopolitical position of Lithuania and promoting international, transit and tourist routes.
