Abstract

The Faculty of Civil Engineering is one of the largest and oldest units of VGTU, consisting of ten Departments. According to the scientific and study results of the last decade, the Faculty is not only the obvious leader in the construction engineering in Lithuania, but is also famous in the Eastern Europe. The published data of various ratings during the last years have confirmed this fact. The majority of the Faculty’s Departments have become the basic scientific centres, recognized all over Lithuania. The scientists and researchers of the Faculty of Civil Engineering have the updated research infrastructure, currently one of the best not only in Lithuania, but also in Europe. We train our students in eighteen study programmes, as well as offer particularly new study programmes, such as Architecture Engineering, Real Estate Management, Sustainable Real Estate Management and Sustainable Building Information Modelling.
