Žvėryno refleksijos. Mickevičiaus g. 5 daugiabučiai Vilniuje
Abstract
The facade structure is strict and clear. The chosen window proportions match the existing context, as well as the rhythm of balconies with openwork elements. Perhaps one of the distinguishing features of this architecture studio is its attention to detail: each one of the details has its own place and time, none of them pop up in an unsuitable moment, while when looking at the whole picture, one cannot distinguish any detail as separate, as all of them are so well matched, and each element combines with the rest, creating a feeling of general unity. Thus, one can firmly state that in this case, the Žvėrynas code was cracked and the key to a suitable solution has been found. Even though there had been seme construction difficulties when implementing the undergreund parking lot, a discreet and reserved entrance solution has been found. Tolerance towards the surrounding environment definitely did not cause any harm to the project, and this way Vilnius gained another interesting and noticeable residential block, characterised by reserved and cultured architectural expression, reflecting the identity of the area.
