Abstract

During 2007-2013 we implemented thirty-five EU structural assistance projects: nine of them infrastructure projects, twenty-six–human resources, namely, the improvement of old study programmes and development of new ones, the realization of scientific research, the improvement of management efficiency. The total value of these projects has reached twenty-seven million euros, the most important achievements being the Scientific and Administrative Centre of VGTU, airplanes and helicopters for Antanas Gustaitis’ Aviation Institute, Aviators’ Training Buildings in Linkmenų Street, renovation of Kyviškės airfield runway, insulation of three buildings: University Laboratory buildings, Sports gym, and the building of the Faculty of Transport Engineering. Vilnius City Municipality and the Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport supported the partial restoration of Šatrijos Ragana Street. These changes have significantly improved the infrastructure and the surroundings of the University. The guests or graduates of VGTU, coming to our University after a longer period, are happy to notice the expanded infrastructure of VGTU.
