Abstract
The present invention relates to the area of biofilters with biologically activated material. The purpose of the invention is to improve the structure and charge humidification system of a treatment device, extend the operating duration of the biologically activated carrier material being used, enhance the effectiveness of air treatment and reduce filter's aerodynamic resistance and cost. The invented plate type biofilter with a capillary charge humidification system, fitted with a polluted air supply pipe (1), a filtering charge (10), a humidification system, a ventilator (2) which blows polluted air to the filter, and systems for temperature maintenance (14) in the biofilter additionally differs in that device's filtering section consists of many vertical polymer plates covered from both sides with porous lightly pressed boards of thermally modified wood fibre and arranged with milligaps among them in parallel to polluted air movement direction with one third (according to height) of them being submersed in activated solution (13), thus causing capillary humidification of the filtering section.
