Būti atsakingam, kad VGTU skambėtų: „Eureka!
Abstract
Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universiteto (VGTU) Mokslo direkcijos direktorius doc. dr. Director of Science and Research Office at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas Vaišis believes that Eureka – a famous exclamation of sudden, unexpected realization of the solution to a problem – goes far beyond national boundaries. In fact, none of the universities worldwide could survive without research. It is vital prerequisite for progress and also for survival. VGTU’s Science and Research Office is in charge of creating the right conditions for researchers to carry out their work, for businesses to find relevant solutions, and for the new generation to choose the challenging path of research. “Research has to be carried out irrespective of the form of governments or political developments. We will continue our work for further progress,” says the interviewee during the conversation about current activities, challenges and future goals.
