Abstract
Architektas Audrius Ambrasas mano, kad Vilniaus architektūra ir urbanistinis audinys visus čia gyvenančius ir atvykstančius žmones užburia savo iracionalumu. Anot jo, gera architektūra pati savaime veikia ir gyvena. Su Nacionaline meno ir kultūros premija už jautrų miesto erdvių planavimą apdovanotu architektu kalbamės apie Vilniaus miesto logiką, urbanistinius procesus, ilgalaikių sprendimų svarbą ir tai, kaip kiekvienas iš mūsų galime kurti miestą, kuriame norisi gyventi. Architect Audrius Ambrasas believes that architecture and urban fabric of Vilnius enchants city’s residents and guests with its irrationality. According to the architect, good architecture has life of its own. In the interview with the winner of the National Prize in Culture and Arts for his sensible approach to creation of urban space and professional responsibility we discuss the logic of Vilnius city, urbanistic processes, the importance of long-term decisions, and how everyone of us is able to contribute to the creation of the city where one wants to live.
