dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the experimental investigation results of lightweight concrete and normal-weight concrete were discussed. The investigation includes flexural and shear experimental parts. Different institutes performed experiments. The objective of investigations is to indicate the differences between the lightweight concrete and normal-weight concrete behaviour. The differences of flexural behaviour are smaller than in shear behaviour. Theoretical values of experiments were calculated by American Concrete Institute design code. Differences in shear element behaviour were explained based on the properties of the aggregates specific surfaces.eng
