Abstract
Urban milieu has become equally plagued, both in the Northern and Southern hemispheres, with remedies that were applied to urban disorders, causing the same serious problems that they were supposed to overcome. Many urban plans and urban designs of the last century were based on utopian premises and ideology of progress that has spectacularly failed all over the globe. The legacy of urbanism of the last century needs to be radically re-examined and fundamentally questioned from various points of departure. This particular book offers a variety of perspectives while dealing with the legacy of Modernism and the future of urbanism.
