The main vibration sources of the centrifuge vertical flexible rotor related to the varying dynamic stiffness of the rotor system have been determined. By applying experimental measurements of the bearing's absolute vibration and theoretical modeling the dynamic eccentricity of a rotor free end has been calculated. Results of the theoretical modeling and vibrodiagnostical research make it possible to estimate more accurately the technical condition of the rotor system both after the overhaul and during the maintenance and thus to avoid unexpected breakdowns especially concerning the fatigue development in ball bearing elements.
