An architectural/plastic idea of an office building of prosecution services in Vilnius has been realised actually without changes from the competition stage. It is a building in the form of a cube. According to the author, this form gives a sense to order, consistency, reliability and strictness. Through the minimum measures, the maximum suggestibility and expression are aimed at. As if rewording the old good phrase by Mies van der Rohe "Less is More", however, applied thus far just by the minimalists. According to the architect Kęstutis Lupeikis, this form represents particularity of the edifice in the best manner, creates an exceptionally forceful and concentrated image of a lav/ enforcement institution. One of the more important building image formants is black polished granite used for exterior finish. Being natural and noble material, granite provides one of the leading law enforcement institutions with the required level of prestige, whereas black colour - the colour of law and order - supplements the general solution of (fie building conceptually. Volumetric composition of an ascetic black cube with strict geometry is split by the rhytmics of oblique windows that symbofises oof a monumentally static but thrusting and dynamic character and nature of activity of a prosecution service institution. "Thus, through application ot dynamic elements to a static and particularly stable form, the general composition acquires visual movement, alternation, a fourth dimension. This fact allows calling the edifice a hyper form", maintains the author.
