| dc.description.abstract | Analysis of scientific and patent literature, expert survey of research organizations specialists in the field of railway transport shows that increasing the efficiency of braking equipment is one of the most important factors for increasing the speed, safety and energy efficiency of rail transport. As a result of the use of intellectual support for decision-making, the expert research, innovative methods for improving the energy efficiency of the braking system of modern rolling stock have been evaluated and it has been established that the most promising method for improving the efficiency of energy saving braking methods is the adaptive air supply system, the temperature of which is regulated depending on the braking conditions and operation. With the help of the created mathematical model for determining the thermophysical characteristics of the disc brake, the temperature dependences of the frictional surface of the brake on the characteristics of adaptive cooling (productivity and coolant temperature) are obtained. The research suggests a number of innovative methods and technical solutions for controlling the temperature of brake friction surfaces. These methods are inventive, they have theoretical and practical value in the direction of improving the performance of brakes and they will be of great importance in the development of rail transport in general. | eng |
