dc.description.abstractThe paper aims at emphasizing the importance of knowledge management as a pilot project, presenting Lithuania as knowledge management case study. The target of this paper is to show Lithuania's move in the direction of a knowledge-based-growth via creating a network of knowledge institutions: the "Sunrise Valley" and ITC projects, present the vision and challenges of these projects and institutions as well as roots and origin of newlyborn Lithuania's knowledge cluster with its infrastructure and future prospects. The researcher also made an attempt to study broader empitrical /practical processes, that took place in transition economies including įthat of Lithuania, since it's experience might be shared with the other emerging market economies in the nearest future.eng
