Knowledge potential has been researched for a few decades by various scientists. However, a common method of knowledge potential evaluation has not been developed yet. Scientists argue which factors are essential evaluating knowledge potential. The model of evaluation discussed in this paper was adapted in the transport sector. Factors considered in evaluation were these: education, vocational experience, position level, degree of decision making and responsibility, self-sufficiency at work, work culture, technology used at work, level at work difficulty, motivation and the workers’ influence on reaching organizational goals. Practical adaptability of the model was tested as an experiment in a transport company, results were provided to company management.
