Abstract

Straipsnyje nagrinėjami aukščiausi pasaulio pastatai nuo civilizacijos atsiradimo iki šių dienų. Aptariama, kaip laikui bėgant kinta aukštybinių pastatų architektūrinė išraiška ir forma, kuri atspindi savo laikotarpio dvasią, teikia informaciją apie civilizacijos raidą. Analizuojama, kokiomis konstrukcinėmis priemonėmis buvo bandoma jas išgauti, pasitelkiant tam tikro laikotarpio technologines statybų galimybes ir naudojamas statybines medžiagas.

The article focuses on the world’s highest buildings from the outset of civilization to nowadays, describes the changes in the architectural expressions and forms of high-rise buildings in the course in time and explains how the shapes of the buildings reflect the spirit of the historical period and provide information on the evolution of civilization. The article also analyses the structural tools used to get the required forms applying the technological construction possibilities and building materials of a certain period.
