In Kaunas Polytechnic Institute, Faculties of Civil engineering and Architecture were reorganized into Faculty of Civil engineering and Hydrotechnical Faculty. From 1956, Civil engineering studies (together with other technical studies) outspread in all Lithuania, when subdivisions of Kaunas Polytechnic Institute were established in Vilnius, Klaipeda, Šiauliai and Panevežys. Later on, these subdivisions became independent high schools. Approximately 13 000 graduates graduated from Kaunas' Faculties, starting from the first three graduates in 1925 till 2010. This book presents achievements in science, studding process and work activities of following institutions: Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Kaunas University of Technology, Panevežys Institute of Kaunas University of Technology, Faculties of Vilnius Gedimas Technical University: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Architecture, Departments of Civil Engineering of Klaipeda and Siauliai Universities.
