dc.description.abstract | Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a new possibility to create virtual model of building. The precise geometry of building comes from the data of geodetic cadastral measurements, photogrammetry (image processing), laser scanning, etc. A history of BIM, the process of cadastral measurements of buildings in the Lithuania are presented in this article. BIM is a study subject of master program “Innovation solution in Geomatics” in Department of Geodesy and Cadaster, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. The students create virtual building models based on cadastral measurements using software ArchiCad. The experimental work - example shown in this article. Therefore, the recommendations and some remarks are written in the conclusions. | eng |
