Donatas Jankauskas (visual arts, Lithuania); Indrė Klimaitė (Street design. Lithuania/Netherlands, www.ilegal.nl, Janas Korbesas (garbage architecture, Germany/Netherlands, www.complett.nf) Linas Kutavičius (light design, Lithuania, www.lightformsit) Erick de Lyon (architecture/visual arts, Netherlands, wwwdelyon.nl), Urbikon (architecture, urbanism, visual arts, Germany, www.urbikon.de) were invited to create initiative projects on the riverside Groups of agists working with students from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, University of Art and Design Hels nki (TAIK), Kassel University, Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Willem de Koonig Academy in Rotterdam and ArTEZ Art School in Arnhem proposed various projects of action and communication' with the river. There emerged the Kultflux pavilion on the riverside (architect Andrius Siezgelas, Martynas Nagele and Aleksandras Kavaliauskas; construction - Saulius Kavaliauskas and Darius Spranaitis JPHouie) where exhibitions in one way or another related with the location and space, and speaking, from different points of view, about the strategies of creating a place, architectural heritage and the like, are organised. The organisers are hoping that the Kultflux initiative will tender additional colours to the cultural life of Vilnius. They define the project strategy more in ac tion than in a concrete object, and aim at creating a space - a point of traction that would provoke a continuous action and discussion. This is a place to be and create while being, a place to spend time together A place for discussions about the city and its river.
