Research of horizontal deformations of geodetic networks in the Baltic Region

Abstract

For investigation of horizontal deformations of geodetic networks, the data of GPS measurements for the years 1992-2003 were used. To avoid the impact of the discrepancy of the systems of coordinates upon the parameters of the deformations, the method of tensor analysis was applied by assessing the parameters by the method of finite elements. A network of 19 triangles was formed; 15 GPS benchmarks were used. Values of parameters of horizontal deformations of geodetic networks in the territory of the Baltic Region were calculated: the principal relative strains, the direction of the maximum relative strain, the dilatation. The maximum relative strain in the territory of the Baltic Region varies between [...] and [...] and is positive within the whole territory; the minimum relative strain varies between [...] and [...]; and the dilatation varies between [...] and [...].

Geodezinių tinklų horizontaliosioms deformacijoms tirti panaudoti 1992–2003 m. GPS matavimų duomenys. Siekiant išvengti koordinačių sistemų nesutapimo įtakos deformacijų parametrams, taikyta tenzorinė analizė baigtinių elementų metodu. Naudojant 15 GPS punktų, sudarytas 19 trikampių tinklas. Apskaičiuoti Baltijos regiono geodezinių tinklų horizontaliųjų deformacijų parametrai: svarbiausiosios deformacijos, maksimalios santykinės deformacijos kryptis, dilatacija. Maksimali santykinė deformacija Baltijos regione kinta nuo iki ir yra teigiama visoje teritorijoje, minimali santykinė deformacija kinta nuo iki , o dilatacija – nuo iki.
