Abstract
The possibility of isolation of the driving shaft of the vehicle from vibrations of the engine shaft using a coupling with a controlled damping element based on magnetorheological liquid and a supplemental disc connected to the driving or driven half-coupling is discussed herein. The impact of the parameters of the coupling and the feedback upon the amplitude-frequency response of the system is analyzed. It is demonstrated that effective damping of vibrations in the resonance zone is possible.
