Production and performance of layered biocomposites from rapeseed based binders and forestry waste
Abstract
The production of composites from bio-based polymers and waste has been an interesting alternative to generate polymeric composites which are of low cost, have sufficient properties for application in building envelopes and are environmentally adequate. The aim of this study is to use forestry waste to produce and test biocomposites that will be ecologically and energetically efficient, lightweight and have competitive moisture-mechanical properties for the application in building envelopes.
