Modernization of railway corridors in Lithuania with the use of EU funds

Abstract
Integration of Lithuania with UE creates favourable conditions for the development of international transport corridors. Lithuanian railways plan to become the main partner of Eastern countries in transit freight services to Klaipeda, Kaliningrad and other ports of Baltic Sea. The article presents the possibilities of using the EU funds for IX international transport corridor development. The Authors propose the widening of effords for railway upgrading, according to all EU demands.
