Abstract
Recently there have been tendencies of using outward FDI as the instrument for internationalization, integration and economic development. This paper studies the motivation importance in the entry of an enterprise into foreign market. Before taking the entry decisions into foreign country, companies should estimate environmental and other indicators (e.g. to compare major profit in future with possible investment risk, to analyze how new investments could affect companies’ profit stability, competitiveness and productivity). FDI theories are based on the notion that FDI enables firms to diversify their production and sales risks over more countries. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the importance of motivation in accepting decision to invest abroad. The evaluation of outward FDI motivation importance is the key to the quantitative substantiation of motives entering into a foreign country. Identification and evaluation of outward FDI motives can cardinally change companies’ investment plans and shift internationalization process activity onto one or another way. The importance of obtained quantitative evaluation of outward FDI motivation is solid basis for enterprise to decide either to enter into foreign country or not. It might cause a trend of investment decisions process changes and might help to avoid or reduce losses of false decisions.
