Tranzitinio transporto poveikio socialinėms-ekonominėms charakteristikoms įvertinimas ir reguliavimas
Abstract
An integration of the Lithuanian economy into the economic system of Western Europe is associated with the reorganization of the transport system of the country. It is necessary to create an attractive transport system both from a technical and legislative points of view which would draw transit transport and ensure efficient routes via Lithuania. Local and international laws have an influence on the efficiency of international transportation. Laws and resolutions affect prices, traffic restrictions, the structure of vehicle fleet, an entry into market social limitations, the development and use of an infrastructure. Restrictions and control of speed, technical parameters, or environment may be set by local administrative bodies or by the government of the state, and they can be effective for all types of transport. Regulation of transport activities will have a much greater influence on the efficiency of transportation than its quality or on attractiveness of the transport sector.
