Lithuanian architecture has its own character if compared to contemporary Estonian or Latvian architecture, but it is still difficult to speak about any regional Baltic architecture in these terms: Estonians make cosmopolitan architecture, Latvians try to use their heritage rather naively, while Lithuanians are somewhat ahead trying to combine international trends with local landscape. It can be concluded that there are no attempts among community of Lithuanian architects to establish any movements towards regionalism with its own principles and declarations. Each architect perceives himself as highly individual personality with his own likes and dislikes, without identifying oneself either with local traditions nor with any group guided by the same attitudes towards architecture of the region.
