dc.description.abstractCast iron plates with carbon float defects have been investigated. Using an approach of cyclic load according to pure bending conditions the crack initiation and propagation have been analyzed. Crack initiation places were observed and crack propagation till rupture has been considered. An experimental, analytic analysis and cyclic fracture of CT specimens were used to determine the cracking threshold at crack growth rate below 10-11 m/cycle, i. e. high cycle fatigue zone.eng
