Abstract
Inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in the Lithuanian Baltic coastal area associated with the character of the water mass exchange between the Kuršių Marios Lagoon and the Baltic Sea . After the wind induces intrusions of saline water into the lagoon, the fresh and enriched with nutrients water has no possibility to enter the Baltic Sea, thus enabling a significant decrease of the concentrations of these compounds in the nearshore area.[...].
