Abstract
In this article the accuracy of the geodetic coordinates B and L computed on the basis of the rectangular coordinates x and y is considered. It was derived the pertinent formulas to compute root mean square errors of the coordinates B and L. Rigidity of the obtained formulas was tested by simulating the systematic and accidental errors of rectangular coordinates. Also, it was proved that the covariance between the rectangular coordinates does have only a small influence on the accuracy of geodetic coordinates B and L.
