Automatizuoto projektavimo sistemų panaudojimo galimybės ir perspektyvos
Abstract
The aim of the investigation is to analyse the properties of CAD systems, to discuss the peculiarities of their use in Lithuania and to make a prospective analysis of design works on the following questions: • classified review of the main 3D modeling systems and comparison of their properties; • use of the system type and quality throughout the country, • possibilities of the supply of the systems with regard to their costs; • efficiency of the system use and control; • possibilities of the use of the systems nowadays and in future. The basic design systems - ArchiCad (Fig 1), Spirit (Fig 4), ALLPLAN, MicroStation triForma (Fig 2), 3D Studio VIZ (Fig 3), ArCon (Fig 5) - are discussed in the work. The deficiencies of the systems that are to be solved are as follows: • each operation should be indicated directly, that is why the user has always to deal with the dialog boxes compiling a number of indicating data which usually are known purely constructively; • the accumulation of experience while creating separate details or the whole objects is not foreseen, • there is a lack of samples of the inner professional training, the automatic search of mistakes, the possibilities of an intelligent use of standards are not exploited; The work compares the computerization level and the CAD systems that are used by the main Lithuanian companies (Table) The dynamics of the role of graphics in the designing process (Fig 8) as well as the influence of the designing technique (Fig 9) are analysed. At present the designing process computerization in the country is paradoxical, since computers are not used for their proper purpose, i.e. not in the computer technologies .The indication "100 % computerization" (Table) means that sketches are made without pencils, and the computer possibilities are utilized only by 1 or 5 % The existing situation is characterized by the following conclusions: • the available CAD systems enable to work with the traditional. design technique (sketches, non-automatic and partially automatic calculations), which one is used; • the systems are rather expensive, so usually one uses the outdated systems that are well-known from the studies at the university; • the most popular system in our country is AutoCAD which depends only on the version, the graphic editor is of a corresponding power and cannot achieve more than 10 % of productivity. The following aspects may modernize the situation and make it competitive and equivalent to the level of other countries: • formation of intelligent computer methods with the use of modern systems; • formation of data for computer-aided design (e.g. the newly arranged material [16], regardless of the existing Internet pages, cannot be used automatically due to its traditional structure, • rearrangement of traditional projects into computer technologies and the formation of the software supply.
