Bibliographical information about dangerous contaminants that is collected in three CD data banks is investigated in the report. NIOSHTIC (USA), CISDOC (International, Geneva) and HSELINE (England) CD data banks were chosen. These CD data banks analysis was fulfilled for three pollutants: benzene, trichlorfluoretan and manganese dioxide. Next criteria were used for the information comparison and evaluation: pollutants properties, technique, impact, environment, research methods, area, country, date of issue, etc. One can see from the research results that the majority of all investigated sources can be attached to hygiene area. Three quarters of all information are coming from the scientific journals. The most modern information is collected in the CISDOC CD data bank. Access to the international CD data banks will rise in a greater importance in Lithuania in the future. Such application possibilities were objects of authors' research in this report.
