Calculations for the Lithuanian geoid determination

Abstract

In 1994 the geoid determination of Lithuania was carried out as a part of the Nordic Countries Geoid. Gravity, levelling data and GPS measurements were used fo: the geoid definition. Digital Terrain Model of Lithuania and Global geopotential field were involved in geoid calculations. All kinds of the data were reduced to the united gravity field and coordinate systems used in the Baltic Sea region. Calculations were carried out with software package GRAFSOFT which is created by Nordic Geodetic Commission Working Group on geoid determination.
