Express-estimation of equilibrum changes of hydrosystems in Kuršių Nerija region
Abstract
The main task of ecological monitoring is the determination of antropogenic disturbances of ecosystems by distinguishing them from background of natural fluctuations. It requires new methodical solutions. We suggest to conduct the monitoring of hydroecosystem by step-by-step methods: 1) express-estimation of hydroecosystem; 2) water quality control by arbitrary methods; 3) biological monitoring. In the first step of the investigation the seasonal fluctuations of the ecosystem are assessed in the region. The zones to which the special attention should be paid are defined. Further works are conduced in the above mentioned zones. The investigations in Kuršių Nerija region were started in 1987. Special attention was paid to the spatial distribution of the disperse part. As new problem of the Baltic Sea - eutrofication has risen it seems reasonably to investigate the correlation of the biotic disperse part components with the concentration of biogenes in the water, especially - P04/N03.
