The paper presents an experimental investigation cast-iron specimens alloyed with silicon in high cycle fatigue regime. Such cast-iron belongs to new materials group because it’s plasticity At = 17.3 %. Analysis of broken specimens fracture using optical measurements and SEM allowed to observe some crack initiation and propagation mechanisms. Obtained inhomogeneous zones have significant influence on crack focus place.eng
