The strategy of development of passangers transportation in Lithuanian railways

Abstract

Lithuanian railways infrastructure, the length of railways, number of railway stations as well as rolling-stock is discussed in the article. Primary tasks of passengers transportation by Lithuanian railways are determined: tying to achieve integration into European railway system. Concrete means of developing railways and railway stations, transportation services as well as renovation of fleet of rolling stock are proposed.
