Abstract

The book describes the history of the development of the scientific and technological societies in Lithuania from oldest times to the present days. Analysis is given of the restructuring of the societies into the Association of Scientific and Technological Societies after Lithuania's the societies into the Association of Scientific and Technological Societies after Lithuania's gaining independence, reviewing most important problems of science and technology in present day Lithuania.
