The problem of Lithuanian derelict and mismanaged rural buildings is analysed in the paper. Territorial distribution of these buildings is analysed by regional aspects. Observations of territorial distribution of derelict rural buildings were made and its peculiarities were established using the methods of mathematical statistics. It is estimated that the correlation relationship of derelict and mismanaged rural buildings and regional concentration of economy, social and agriculture indices is different in various regions of development activity presented in the conception of the country spatial development. In the areas of active development distribution peculiarities are mostly influenced by population activity indexes and parameters of life quality. There are many renovated buildings used for commercial purposes or manufacture in the areas of higher activity or better life quality of the population. In the region of regressing development, where farming is the main activity of its inhabitants, indexes of farming territorial concentration are the most statistically significant. ‘Buffer’areass take a middle place according to their concept and also according to the results of correlation analysis.[...].
