Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universiteto plėtra nepriklausomybės metais
Santrauka
The development and growth of the University may be described in terms of the achievements and progress in studies and research, training of teaching and research staff, growth of material and financial resources and technical facilities, etc. In 1990-2002, major indices characterizing the development of studies are: the growing number of students, graduates, programmes as well as specializations. The same trend could be observed in research: the number of scientific publications, doctoral students and research projects has increased. The situation with teaching and research staff is not so good: a number of students for a teacher as well as the age of researchers are constantly growing. The same applies to material resources and technical facilities. Since 1998 the financing from the state budget has been decreasing. On the other hand, in 1990-2002, the links with foreign and local partners were increasing.
