In the article the artificial radioisotope 137Cs and natural radionuclide 40K specific activity is investigated in the various segments of pine (Pinus sylvestris) and birch (Betula pendula). The accumulating coefficients of 137Cs and 40K are examined in the pine and birch wood. The specific activity of 137Cs and 40K is measured in the ashes of annual rings of a tree. Also the radionuclide specific activities are measured in the pine and birch thin and thick roofs. The most part of investigated radionuclides get into birch wood from the 20-25 cm soil depth and into pine wood - from 15-20 cm soil depth. The maximum 137Cs specific activities in the pine and birch wood is measured 15 or 20 years after the great pollution in this region (the global pollution after nuclear explosions and after Chernobyl nuclear power accident). There is investigated that the roofs accumulate the most part of radionuclides. In the roof system biomass 137Cs is more accumulated in the birch (Betula pendula) thin roofs.
