dc.description.abstractAbout half of serial electric motors are employed in mechanisms where the main movement is glide or reciprocation. These systems are composed from conventional rotating motors and kinematical chains to change the rotational movement to translational or unconventional linear motors. The simplest by construction and cheapest between them are linear induction motors (LIM).
