See-Minimal : minimal form and values in contemporary architecture
Abstract
Monograph attempts to provide a more precise definition of the temporal and spatial position of modern minimalism and to highlight the peculiarities, aims, priorities and compositional means of minimalist expression, This book seeks to prove that any form, both primary and hyper, can be minimalist, provided it complies with the key criteria of minimalist expression: simplicity, integrity, purity and validity of ideas. The subject of this study includes the trends in the development of the minimalist form in modern architecture and form transformation possibilities, The scientific and practical aim of the work is to disclose the dynamics of methods leading to the achievement of perfection and harmony in modern architecture by way of maximum simplicity and minimalism. A new idea - not yet identified in the global study of art - that the minimalist form will undergo a transformation and become a hypersurface or a hyperminimalist form is developed, A model for the realisation of the idea is presented together with possible guidelines of application in architecture and scientific enquiry. The monograph is intended for architects, scientists, artists, designers and young academics.
