In rotary mechanisms used in the modern high speed mechanical systems (machine-tools and precise machinery) one often faces the problem of vibration which substantially reduces their reliability and precision and increases the vibroactivity of machines and instruments. Nowadays together with the standard passive vibration protection systems (elastic-inertial or elastic-dissipative vibration isolators) active vibration protection devices are often used in the rotary systems. Using external power sources they automatically control the system vibration.
