Due to increasing traffic volumes, the number of heavy vehicles as well as axle loads of these vehicles, deformations of plastic type, i.e. rutting and corrugation frequently occur on the streets of Lithuanian towns and builtup areas. Therefore, selection of asphalt concrete mixtures and their components, design of mixture composition, rational application of the technological process of constructing asphalt concrete mixture pavement, quality control and drafting of standard documentation are of utmost importance. This article presents the findings of the carried out research, on the basis of which town and built-up area asphalt concrete pavement construction regulations were prepared. Compliance with the provisions of these regulations enables to reduce the possibilities of plastic deformation occurrence. Based on the carried out design works, two asphalt concrete structures for public transport stops are recommended.eng
