Behavior of solenoids used for the generation of pulsed magnetic fields is considered. The pulsed solenoid is the most important component of a laboratory system generating half-period sinus-shaped magnetic fields up to 45T. Numerical analysis performed simulates transient behavior of magnetic fluxes, induced thermal stress fields and structural behavior of solenoid under the action of thermal and magnetic forces. Simulation results are applied to construction of a solenoid structure.
