Abstract
Pedagogical work involves the need to solve many theoretical and psychological problems. For the most efficient implementation of normative and other practical principles in practice, specialists of pedagogy must have the skills to cooperation with many people of different attitudes, and they must be able to conduct negotiations. In many cases they should act not as individuals, but as members of a team formed for efficient problem solving. They must be aware of their personality characteristics and try to improve them. Investigation of possibilities to form a creative and highly mobile working team involving different psychological characteristics of members was created for students of correspondence majoring in pedagogy at the University of Copernicus in Toruń. Some individual psychological personality characteristics, such as extraversion – introversion, emotional stability, activity and capability to conduct negotiations using different negotiations styles were studied, as well. The results of investigation show high degree of activity and emotional stability but less than average degree of an ability to communicate. The investigation results of the ability to negotiate show that members of the investigated group mostly apply normative style of negotiating, whereas intuitive style is the least popular among them. Normative style of negotiations is used 54 % more than is recommended by scientis.
