Abstract
The measurements of mechanical properties of electrotechnical materials applied in pulsed magnet design are described. Tensile strength, the elongation at break of Cu-Nb micro-composite wire and Zylon filament was measured experimentally and the influence of cyclic cooling and heating on material mechanical properties was investigated. Experimental data was compared with standard static mechanical properties.
