Abstract
Straipsnyje nagrinėjama čiurnos sąnario įtvarų patvarumo problema ir nustatoma jos sprendimo metodika. Kompiuterinio modeliavimo būdu, naudojant SolidWorks programinę įrangą, sudaromi įtvarų modeliai, apskaičiuojamos veikiančios apkrovos, atliekami įtempių ir poslinkių pasiskirstymo tyrimai ir modelių nuovargio bandymai. Atsižvelgiant į tyrimų rezultatus, nustatoma įtvarų iš aukštatemperatūrių plastikų taikymo metodika.

The paper presents research on the durability of the splint of the ankle joint and suggests a solution to the raised problem of the fatigue behaviour of the splint of the ankle joint. With the help of computer aided modelling and SolidWorks software, the model of the splint of the ankle joint has been created. The article analyses social problems, ankle joint biomechanics and describes modelling methods and results of the fatigue test. The results of research show instructions on the use and adaptation of the splints of the ankle joint made of high density polyethylene and polypropylene. The models produced from high density polyethylene were rather endurant (3 ·107 cycles of load) compared to those made of polypropylene (1,6 ·107 cycles of load). Thus, the use of polyethylene splints should be extended at bigger loads. Polypropylene splints can be used in cases under smaller load (the weight of a splint user should not exceed 70 kg) thus increasing the thickness of the material.
