Mechatronic system of the injection of ethanol in an intake manifold of a diesel engine

Abstract

This research was carried out with an Audi-80 turbo diesel engine that has a supplementary ethanol feed to air intake. The obtained results allowed for a mathematical expression to get a description of the optimal ethanol supply, which ensures the maximum heat efficiency coeficient for different engine working conditions.
