Abstract

The study book "English for Students of Fundamental Sciences" is designed to help students acquire specific English terminology as well as deepen their knowledge of English language in the fields of bioengineering, applied mathematics and statistics. Authentic texts and exercises on grammar and vocabulary will help the students develop professional and communicative skills. The book consists of three parts. The first part covers the main topics and concepts in bioengineering, the second part focuses on applied mathematics and statistics and the third part is composed of texts for self-study. The book is supplied with the glossary of basic bioengineering, mathematical and statistical terms.

Mokomoji knyga „Anglų kalba studijuojantiems fundamentinius mokslus“ skirta padėti studentams susipažinti su terminais anglų kalba, taip pat įsisavinti ir pagilinti anglų kalbos žinias bioinžinerijos, matematikos ir statistikos srityse. Autentiški tekstai ir gramatikos bei leksikos pratimai padės ugdyti studentų profesinius ir bendravimo įgūdžius. Knygą sudaro trys dalys. Pirmojoje dalyje pateikiamos temos ir pratimai bioinžinerijos, antrojoje – taikomosios matematikos ir statistikos tematika, trečiojoje dalyje – savarankiško skaitymo tekstai. Mokomojoje knygoje taip pat pateikiamas bioinžinerijos, matematikos ir statistikos terminų žodynėlis.
