Abstract
In this paper we follow IEEE recommendations and propose common viewpoints that address business users concerns on business rules management in information systems build by business rules approach. The set of our proposed viewpoints are: functional, functions authority, rule flow and rule state. Functional viewpoint addresses availability, usability and functionality concerns. Authority viewpoint address security concerns and rule flow - user processes. Rule state view describes the possible states of rule in response to events. Viewpoints are selected to cover dynamic and static properties of rule management that is observed by external user. Main properties considered are: system Junctions available and path of rule from elicitation to approval. This work is first step to development of business rules management architecture evaluation method which would serve as a ready to use tool for architects for clarifying the trade-offs made, identify the risks and others characteristics of future project.
